The Challenge

For the owner of this premier waterfront estate, standard outdoor furnishings and pre-cast architectural elements from a catalog simply did not measure up to the property’s grandeur. The client sought a finishing touch that felt as extraordinary as the view, a privacy screen spanning two floors was needed to shield the home without blocking the air or ruining the aesthetic. They required a material capable of surviving the harsh, salty coastal environment while offering a level of sculptural beauty that traditional construction methods could not achieve.

The Solution

What began as a single commission for a privacy screen quickly evolved into a comprehensive design partnership. Printera’s ability to print organic, free-flowing shapes allowed us to create a unified design language that echoed the natural surroundings. We crafted an outdoor kitchen with undulations inspired by driftwood and poolside tables featuring intricate textures reminiscent of coral reefs. The scope expanded to include massive 7-foot planters that anchor the landscape, and distinct, star-shaped geometric vessels for the third-floor balcony. We even solved functional eyesores by printing custom covers for utility piping, seamlessly blending infrastructure with art.

The Outcome

This project stands as a testament to the versatility of 3D concrete printing in high-end residential design.
