Olympia
A 1,480 square foot, 1 bedroom/1 bath home meticulously designed to echo the serene embrace of nature. This architectural gem will showcase Printera's groundbreaking 3D Pre-Printed wall system, seamlessly blending innovation with functionality for both interior and exterior walls. Nestled in Olympia, Washington, this dwelling, inspired by the client's single directive word, "Cave," seeks to encapsulate the essence of safety and security akin to dwelling within a natural refuge. Departing from conventional interpretations of a "cave," typically formed by geological processes, our exploration ventured into nature's interpretation of this sanctuary. Drawing inspiration from the elegant spiral of the Nautilus, a marine Mollusca inhabiting its own "cave" within a shell, we derived the foundational design. Enriching this concept further, we meticulously tailored the structure to the site's nuances, harnessing weather data, wind dynamics, solar influences, and existing vegetation to optimize its form. The result? A harmonious blend of nature-inspired architectural ingenuity culminating in a private 1 bedroom/1 bath residence complemented by a single-car garage. This visionary project is currently in the Construction Documents phase, with the aspiration to commence construction in the vibrant awakening of Spring 2024.
