Printera 2025: A Year in Review

2025 was a defining year for Printera. The year marked steady growth across projects, partnerships, education, and industry engagement. Throughout the year, our focus stayed consistent. We applied 3D concrete printing in real-world projects, refined our processes, and built long-term relationships across the design and construction industry.

What follows highlights the work, collaborations, and momentum that shaped Printera in 2025.

Projects and Fabrication

Throughout 2025, Printera completed a wide range of printed projects. These projects spanned architectural, landscape, recreational, and infrastructure-focused applications.

In 2025, Printera designed and printed dog training facility obstacles for the United States Marines. We also designed and printed a high-end raised planter bed entry monument for Maronda Homes. In addition, we partnered with Citizen Robotics on several public-facing installations, including printed park benches and large planter feature walls.

In the conservation space, we printed and deployed two additional artificial reefs for the Florida Oceanographic Society. After donating the first reef and seeing its success, the organization purchased two additional units. This expanded the overall impact of the project.

We also supported Skate Buds, a nonprofit organization, by printing skateable concrete elements for their first-ever convention. These pieces demonstrated how 3D concrete printing can support community-focused initiatives and unconventional design applications.

Alongside these larger installations, Printera produced dozens of smaller one-off prints throughout the year. These included custom architectural elements, prototypes, test pieces, and experimental prints. While many of these projects stayed behind the scenes, they helped refine our workflows and supported ongoing collaboration with designers, builders, and researchers.

Completed Developments

While Printera completed its printed scope for the 25 Water Street at SOMA project earlier, 2025 marked the full completion of the building itself. Seeing the project delivered confirmed the long-term durability and performance of printed concrete elements within a complex, large-scale development.

Partnerships and Industry Collaboration

Partnerships played a major role in Printera’s progress during 2025. We continued to strengthen our relationship with Oldcastle APG through multiple collaborations and industry events.

This work included hosting an AIA focus group where architects, designers, landscape architects, and developers provided direct feedback on printed concrete elements. Printera was also invited by Oldcastle to attend World of Concrete 2025, where our printed pieces were featured in their booth. In addition, our work appeared at the FEFPA Conference as part of Oldcastle’s exhibition.

On the materials side, we partnered with Carbon Limit to test and print with CaptureCrete, a COâ‚‚-absorbing additive. These tests allowed us to explore how emerging material technologies integrate with 3D concrete printing while maintaining performance and print quality.

We also collaborated with universities on print testing through grant-supported research efforts. These partnerships supported experimentation and long-term development tied to academic studies.

Education, Outreach, and Community Engagement

Education and outreach remained a core part of Printera’s mission in 2025. We hosted shop visits and hands-on demonstrations for students ranging from high school to university level. These visits included FIU Landscape Architecture, South Fork High School, and The Pine School.

At The Pine School, students went beyond touring the facility. They designed benches and planters that were later printed and installed on campus. This experience gave students a direct connection between design, fabrication, and real-world application.

Beyond student engagement, we hosted design charrettes and shop sessions for architects and landscape architects. These events created a hands-on environment where professionals could explore 3D concrete printing workflows. We also hosted AIA Fall Hot Topics credit sessions across Florida, reaching more than 1,000 attendees in total.

Events and Industry Presence

Printera maintained an active presence at major industry events throughout the year. We exhibited at ASLA Florida 2025 and AIA Florida 2025. Our printed elements appeared both at our booth and prominently within the Oldcastle booth.

In addition to these conferences, our team attended more than 25 industry networking events across Florida and beyond. These events helped strengthen relationships and expand awareness of 3D concrete printing applications.

Media, Recognition, and Thought Leadership

In 2025, Printera gained increased visibility across the industry. We were featured in Inc. Magazine, and our CEO appeared on the Automate Construction Podcast to discuss automation and the future of construction.

Our work was also highlighted by Jarett Gross, the largest influencer in the 3D concrete printing space. This exposure helped introduce 3D concrete printing to a broader audience. We were also nominated for the Martin County Business Awards 2025, recognizing the company’s growth and contribution to the local business community.

Company Growth and Momentum

One of the most significant milestones of the year was completing our StartEngine crowdfunding campaign. The support from investors helped lay the groundwork for Printera’s next phase of growth. This included preparing for expanded production capacity, a larger facility, and additional robotic systems.

Looking Ahead

As 2025 comes to a close, the year stands as a reflection of steady progress rather than a single defining moment. Collaboration, consistent production, technical refinement, and deeper industry engagement shaped the year.

With growing demand, stronger partnerships, and an expanding footprint, Printera enters the next year focused on scaling responsibly and continuing to apply 3D concrete printing where it delivers real value.
