The AIA Florida 2025 Conference brought together architects, designers, developers, and innovators from across the state. For Printera, it was a milestone moment. Hosted in collaboration with Oldcastle APG, the event offered a powerful platform to showcase the real-world possibilities of 3D concrete printing (3DCP). It also created space to connect with professionals eager to rethink how they design and build.

Our growing partnership with Oldcastle APG took center stage throughout the week. As one of the largest manufacturers in the architectural products space, Oldcastle provided valuable exposure and hosted us for several key events.
The standout was a full-day focus group session. Architects, landscape architects, designers, and developers reviewed a curated collection of Printera’s 3D printed concrete samples. As a result, the response was overwhelmingly positive.
Attendees saw how 3DCP removes traditional barriers such as mold costs and long timelines. Many were surprised by the design flexibility now possible with our technology. From curved elements to layered finishes and custom sizing — these features are all achievable without driving up cost.
The ability to go from concept to product quickly—and at scale—resonated with professionals. Especially those who regularly face redesign cycles, tight schedules, and client demands for originality.

During the tradeshow, we showcased a range of printed elements at our own booth and in collaboration with Oldcastle’s exhibit. The prints sparked meaningful conversations, with architects and designers exploring how 3DCP could solve practical challenges while offering new design freedom. From custom site furnishings to structural components, the excitement around integration into real projects was undeniable.

While most of the week focused on dialogue and demos, we also joined Oldcastle for a few social highlights. These included a dinner cruise, cocktail hour, and the always-entertaining Oldcastle Gameshow.
These moments gave us the chance to connect with the Florida AIA community on a more personal level. They also helped us reflect on the energy behind the movement we’re building.

We left AIA Florida energized by what’s next. The week made one thing clear: 3D concrete printing isn’t a future idea — it’s a present-day tool. Architects are beginning to adopt it across scales and project types.
Our partnership with Oldcastle APG continues to unlock opportunities. Most importantly, the enthusiasm we felt during the conference reinforces our commitment to bringing this technology to more firms and professionals throughout Florida and beyond.
