Concrete Monument Signs: A Lasting First Impression

Concrete monument signs are evolving with the help of 3D printing. At Printera, we partnered with CIMSA Americas to create a bold, large-scale entry monument sign using our Pre-Printed method. This approach delivered durability, precision, and custom branding, all in one streamlined process. Today, the sign anchors their facility with a strong visual presence.

Thanks to our 3D printed approach, CIMSA had the freedom to define the shape, surface texture, and exact dimensions of their monument sign. Most importantly, we did it without the need for traditional molds or extended lead times.

Why Use 3D Printing for Concrete Monument Signs?

Traditional monument signs often require labor-intensive molds, rigid forms, and high amounts of material waste. Our Pre-Printed method removes those constraints and gives clients the ability to:

– Customize size, shape, and texture with ease

– Speed up project timelines through off-site fabrication

– Create durable, branded signage that makes an impact

– Minimize waste with precise, additive manufacturing

Additionally, 3D printing makes it easier and faster to create complex forms that would be time-consuming and expensive using traditional methods. Features like integrated curves, layered textures, and embedded lettering can be produced directly from the digital model with no extra tooling required.

From Print Bed to Installation

We printed custom concrete forms for the monument at our Florida facility and delivered them to the site, where they were reinforced and filled as part of the final installation. This allowed production and site prep to move forward at the same time, shortening the overall project schedule.

Design Flexibility and Speed

Because we print directly from digital files, design changes can happen instantly. Whether the layout shifts or the lettering needs to be recessed, we can update the model without drastically impacting print time. This eliminates delays and avoids the high costs of casting revisions.

One Process, Many Possibilities

CIMSA’s entry monument sign is just one example of how concrete 3D printing can support custom branding in built environments. Whether you’re designing a standalone feature or a full signage system, 3D printed concrete offers creative freedom, efficient production, and long-term durability.
